The Dr. Aloy & Gesare Chife Foundation offers tertiary education scholarships to outstanding students with a propensity to science and technology who cannot reach their potential without financial support. Students are sponsored for attendance at any recognized and accredited university of their choice in their country of residence.  Recipients are required to complete local community and work projects relevant to their area of study. Our approach is to increase local capacity of technological knowledge and curb the ‘brain drain’ in African communities.

With a clearly delineated application process and criteria, students are identified, evaluated and awarded scholarships to cover the cost of tuition fees for their chosen undergraduate course. The Program accepts applications from full time and part time students.

All highly motivated African students interested in the areas of science and technology are encouraged to apply for the Tertiary Education Scholarship Program.  The Foundation may, from time to time, identify specific areas of award preference, to be published at


To be eligible for consideration, applicants must have:-

- A minimum of B average in all classes.
- Domestic citizenship in country of residence.
- No criminal record.
- Good moral standing.

3. Email the following documents to scholarships @

- Statement of Motivation, of not more than 1,000 words, responding to the question
If you were to do one thing to benefit your community, what would it be and what role would technology play in achieving your task?”

- Copy of most recent academic transcript / official evidence of results.

- Copy of evidence of enrolment or offer of enrolment at a recognized accredited university institution

- Copy of resume detailing work, school and community service achievements.

- One academic reference attesting to the applicant’s or suitability to receive scholarship.

- One character reference attesting to the applicant’s suitability to receive scholarship.

- Copy of birth certificate
